HIST 334 - Digital and Public History This seminar seeks to enable students to answer the question “What is public history?” Students examine the way the field has been shaped by past precedent, cultural trends, and the dialogue public historians have with both academic historians and a diverse public. Special emphasis is on the relationship between local history and the new social history.
Prerequisite: Sophomore standing or above. Credits: 4 NOTE:
* Honors Scholar Course.
** History major United States History course.
*** This course counts toward the 63-credit Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
**** This is a writing-enhanced course.
