COMM 393 - Critical Research Methods This course offers instruction in the analysis and evaluation of various forms of discourse. Emphasis is on contemporary public discourse intended to arouse, activate, inform, entertain, or enlighten. Using critical methodologies, students will study the relationship between discourse and cultural practices, and learn to question assumptions underlying communication practices, as well as to test claims they make.
