Accounting Minor

The accounting knowledge and skills acquired through the Accounting minor provide a foundation for understanding the financial elements of business management and entrepreneurship. The deeper understanding of accounting acquired through the minor can provide a competitive edge in the workplace. This knowledge is especially useful for any individual considering the pursuit of a business-related application of their major.

The online application form for the accounting minor can be found on the School website. Students will be notified by email when their application is approved. Student must meet the following minimum requirements in order to apply for admission:

Minimum Requirements for Admission to the Accounting Minor:

  1. A minimum overall grade point average of 2.50.
  2. Completion of 45 credit hours including the following courses with a grade of ‘C’ or better:

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. A 2.25 average GPA in minor requirements.
  2. A minimum of 9 credit hours in the minor must be completed at Truman. Additionally, all upper-division courses must be completed at Truman.
